PEARL FASHION: Pearl Brows for your Wedding Day

We are not sure if we like this look outside of the editorial, but we do love pearls and more than pearls we love artists that think outside of the box.

This look comes from the Emily INDIE Magazine online editorial that was shot by German photographer Lukasz Wolejko-Wolejszo and styled by Dana Roski to inspire brides-to-be to think unique and stylish when it comes to the wedding choices they make for their big day.

We definitely think that this look is totally daring but is this something that you would consider wearing on your wedding day? Surely, this would be a conversation piece and many just may love the look. read more

CELEBRITY FASHION: Nicki Minaj in Pearly Captains Hat

Ahoy there mates! We know who the captain of this fashion ship is… a woman that steers her own helm. The beautiful Nicki Minaj was spotted last year during her 4th of July Myx Fusions’ Myx & Mingle cruise in New York City, 2013.

The Massive Attack artist almost served the crew and passengers a heart attack in her bright white Herve Leger wrap dress, showing off all of her curves; sexy red nails and glittery peep toe shoes.

What we love the most about her look is the pearly captain’s hat that topped off the look amazingly. Nicki is a woman that knows how to switch up from her sexually charged hip hop style to a look that is classy and chic. read more

CELEBRITY FASHION: Rihanna in Super Large Coco Chanel Pearls

We love a great siting and nothing beats seeing the singer, Rihanna, all dressed up and on the go at the Coco Chanel Show during Paris Fashion Week.

Dressed from head to toe in Chanel and posing with the fashion genius, Karl Lagerfeld, we could not help but notice the arm candy on Rihanna’s tattooed wrist.

She is wearing two of the super large pearls that were seen during Chanel’s 2014 Spring/Summer Fashion Show. Aren’t they amazing?

ASK MS. ELITOU: When is it appropriate to give pearls as a wedding anniversary gift?

Wedding anniversaries are an amazing time in a couple’s life. They represent the day that two people in love, come together as one and create a bond that should never be broken.

So when it comes to the husband, he is always looking for that very special gift to show his love and appreciation for the woman that makes him happy; the woman that supports his ambitions; and the woman that he builds a future with.

Pearls are very beautiful and classy so they will make a perfect gift for your anniversary.

To answer your question, there is a simple rule and it is really easy to remember.  Pearls are a splendid anniversary gemstone for the 1st, 12th and 30th year of your matrimony because it is a traditional and very well accepted gift.

Hope this helps!

FASHIONISTA IN PEARLS: Ms. Elitou, Fashion Blog Editor of Pearls Only!

Our fashion blog editor, Ms. Elitou enjoyed a wonderful sunny day in Philadelphia wearing black pearls from our Black Label Collection. The Edith Earrings made of sterling silver and freshwater pearls are very delicate and feminine and look great with almost anything.

She also wore the heart shaped Carlin Pendant that is also a part of the Black Label Collection. The Carlin Pendant is made of 14kt white gold, Japanese Akoya Pearl, and accented with a few diamonds. Ms. Elitou chose to wear it with a black and white striped blazer, and for accent she added a purple shirt.

“I really love these pieces. I received so many compliments about the pendant,” Ms. Elitou said when asked about her jewelry. “They thought that the pendant was so different and dainty. I had one lady said that she thought it was very spunky for pearl.”

We aim to please when it comes to purchasing pearls from Pearls Only. When we deliver every package, we include a gift box, an appraisal certification, a beautiful storage bag, a 90-day money back guarantee and a few sample pearls.

When we asked Ms. Elitou, on what occasions would she wear her pearls the most, she responded, “Are you kidding me? They are so versatile that I can wear them any time that I want!!!”

NYFW 2014: Bad to the Bone in Mark and Estel

Bad to the bone is the only way to describe the clothing of Mark and Estel. As one of the sleekest and sexiest designers of the week, Mark and Estel gave us fashion that you can’t ignore.

Opening the show with a an amazing short black dress with wide short sleeves and gold décor, and a hat that was made for the fashion badass, fashion stalkers knew that a fashion there could only be a fashion climax that would leave them wanting more.

Black, sleek, satin, lace- everything that makes fashion the secret behind a woman’s sexy.

Wide leg sating pants breeze down the runway; a sleek cat suit with v-neck and zipper details is sure to turn heads; and tomboy plaid pants with a crop top was everything that a girl needed for her grown and sexy moments.

A red and black striped long coat with military stripes received approval as the model sashayed down the runway.

One of the highlights of the show was a wide-brimmed panama hat with fur shawl, black top and a red wrap skirt that showed more leg than a burlesque feather fan dancer… fashion slayer!

And who could forget the black satin kimono wrap dress with a plunging v-neckline, exaggerated wide sleeves and equipped with an obi belt… fainting!

There was also the gray halter high-lo dress with leather details and paired with lace stockings… 10’s across the board!

At closing, the crazy and funky designers Mark and Estel performed live their ode to the “Old World” (the name of their collection).

Overall, the clothing is amazing and definitely for the fashion forward. While we agree that the clothing is about mystery, there is a whole lot of rock and badass in between.

What do you think of the Mark and Estel collection? Would you dare to wear?
