Retro fashion meets science at the Nina Athanasiou S/S15 Presentation that was held Sunday, September 7th at The Designer’s Loft in New York City during Fashion Week.

While many may have eagerly anticipated the fashion film, Akuma that starred famous model Shaun Ross, it was the fashion that we were eager to see walk down the runway.

There was a lot of leather—something that we loved. Leathers in various colors from coral red shorts to sandy brown leather skirts, leather was abundant and easily Nina Athanasiou was on trend for the upcoming spring. read more

New York Fashion Week (NYC) — On September 9th, 2014, we had the opportunity to attend the Art Institute of New York City’s Spring 2015 fashion show at Lincoln Center during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week. We were inspired by the potential of the student designers.

Attending this show is always exciting because it gives us the opportunity to spot designers that are in the making to become great fashion icons. New York Fashion Week (NYC) — On September 9, 2014, I attended one of the best shows to date in fashion that is focused on the new generation of fashion elite that are adventurous, rebellious and mysterious. The Skingraft fashion show that took place at the Pavillion, inside the Lincoln Center, was hands down the most outstanding and notable. Always pushing the envelope, Jonny Cota gave us avant-garde fashion that will be the trend setter for the Spring/Summer of 2015.

Although Santa Sangre (Holy Blood), to some may be an unsavory title to a collection because of religious taboos, the clothing will make even the most religious follower forgive Skingraft of its naming sin. read more

Is Philly’s Fashion Week Reaching Its Full Potential? Philadelphia Fashion Week Couture Show Finale

Philadelphia, PA (US)-This year was a unique year for Philly Fashion Week during the Spring/Summer Collection for 2015. In connection with the Philadelphia Collection, Philadelphia Fashion Week is in its 11th Season and still has the ability to go strong.

When we last attended PFW for the Fall/Winter Collection, it was packed from wall to wall with fashion enthusiasts of fellow writers, stylists, showroom owners and Philly’s fashion elite that included a few celebrities. There was also the presentation from Project Runway’s Season 12 winner, Dom Streater that blew everyone right out of their seats. read more
